Hello Aocate!
Let me first say how unbelievable happy i am about the fact, that you've wrote presto! I can't imagine how to play my podcasts without it... But:
Since most of my "ilistentoeverysingleepisode"-podcasts has switched to mp4/aac (from my point of view this year changed a lot in podcast scene), i would really really like to play them with presto.
I think i read, sou stated something about license issues and also about the need of being a able to decode that files, (here: http://forum.aocate.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=119#p448).
Isn't there anyway to get this running?
I've learned from here https://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html that 3.1+ devices can decode aac by default. OK, i'm not a developer nor do i know, how presto works. But: sure there is no way?
License issues: hmm, ok, somehow i do understand. But to be honest: presto is not that cheap compared to the average market prices. I'm fine with that. I bought it and i was happy so far. Look here http://www.vialicensing.com/licensing/aac-fees.aspx This site states, that an AAC license is around 1$. I've you're not willing to pay that from your app revenue (ok, i can understand that, too) please consider to make a second purchase key, which people can or can not buy from market, if they want to be able to pitch mp4/aac files.
Would that be a solution?
